We are pleased to share the recording of the EERA Joint Programme Hydropower SP5 Webinar ‘‘Hydropower & Society: Understanding Social Readiness and Social Acceptance Webinar on Social Acceptance for Hydropower, held as part of the pilot initiative on societal readiness. This session explores how hydropower projects can better align with social and environmental expectations, drawing on research and practical experience from EU-funded initiatives.

    Maria Stella Righettini (University of Padua) presents recent findings on stakeholder attitudes, trust-building, and the social dynamics influencing hydropower acceptance.
  • Part 3: Q&A and Discussion An open discussion with the audience, reflecting on practical challenges and opportunities for enhancing societal support for hydropower development.
